**Arrest of Savukku’s Legal Correspondent: The Why and the Whodunnit! ** Who is Karthikeyan Govindarajan who was arrested today in a cheating case ? He was picked up by Aranthangi Police today by around 10.30 am from the residence of Rathnavel with whom he was staying. Police in mufti around 20 in numbers came in 5 official vehicles and arrested him.

I actually don’t know Karthi,before two years. He used to meet me once in a week and share his opinions. Being a law student I encouraged him to work for the poor. When I knew his background, I appointed him as Savukku Media’s legal correspondent.

His father was a Temple Archagar and he passed away a couple of years back. Her mother was too old to work. His young brother is doing his MBBS. This guy is doing his fourth year BL in Chettinad Law School. He was very fond of him. Even in awe about me. I made him my legal correspondent with a consolidated salary. He was proud of his ID card. He is a medal winner in a moot competition

I guided him and told him to be a good Judge. I sent him as an intern to Hon’ble Justice GR Swaminathan.

Now why is he arrested ? This is a civil dispute. Karthick’s father stood as surety to a 5 lakh loan. The borrower didn’t pay. Karthi’s father was paying interest. The borrower gave a land document after Karthi’s father’s death. Karthi, for his father’s indirect debt, was paying interest. The borrower cheated the investor and double documented the land document. Karthi’s liability is only vicarious.

Even if it is true, for the sake of argument. Should not the beneficiary Mohan be the first to be arrested ?

Mohan is the roommate of Karthi. They both are staying together in Virugambakkam. That is where he was arrested today.

Police knew that Mohan and Karthi are roommates. Mohan is the beneficiary. Where is Mohan ? He is very well available in Pudukottai. He is rushing to Aranthangi PS to get copy of FIR and get his family friend out. Mohan has no intention of running away. Mohan is ready to pay the money. But the Aranthangi police never bothered even to call Mohan over phone. Their intention is to satisfy the thirst of a blood hound. More about that psycho later.

Let us assume Karthik did benefit from the deal. Can he not pay the five lakhs ? Karthick knows very well that I will take care of his needs. I won’t led down my consigliere.

As Savukku readers know well, the police particularly the CCB is an Extortion branch. They gain nothing from arresting the accused. Their only aim is to conduct a Katta Panchayat. Get a share from both parties involved and pass it on up to the District SP. In Commissionerates, it is the Commissioner.

So why would they arrest a law student by sending a battalion to arrest a kid ? Is this 5 lakh case worth sending 5 jeeps, 20 police men, and so much effort ?

There is reason. Now let us look about the blood hound. It is Arun IPS. Arun is a psycho. And an incorrigible womaniser. His sex hunger has made him have extra orientation relationships.

Netrikkan, a weekly wrote about his sexual vagaries. Arun was working under then suburban commissioner SR Jangid. Arun arrested Netrikkan editor Mani, with the consent of Jangid. Mani was stripped naked and pissed on by policemen. In custody, he was made to eat human faeces. His daughter, a medical student was booked in a prostitution case. Mani’s son is still facing half a dozen false cases.

This is Arun for you. Arun was the main beneficiary in the double encounter at RedHills. Matter is being probed by Crime Branch CID on the orders of Madras High Court.

There was two page news item in a gossip magazine. It was sent to me. I checked and found the entire contents true. But I did not want to honour the magazine by tweeting it. I did it today after Karthi’s arrest.

Arun engineered a few complaints that I am instigating caste riots.

No one bothered. Arun was not satisfied. The hound got into action.

He directed his trainee pups to pounce on Karthi so that he can hurt me. Karthi was picked up. His mobile phone was seized. His tab, (office property) was seized. His laptop was seized. What is the connection between the cheating case and electronic gadgets ?

But Arun wants to know who I am to him. Arun wants to know my sources. Not only Arun, him and a dozen other senior cops want my mobile confiscated to kill my sources, in vain.

So Arun picked up a vulnerable SP – Vandhita Pandey. Varun Kumar who is facing a sexual harassment case from a civil service aspirant needs Arun’s help to evade the charges. He chose Vandhita Pandey.

Karthick’s arrest was executed. Vandita Pandey did not respond to our queries. IG Central Zone Karthikeyan did not pick up the phone or respond to messages.

But how did Arun got this temerity to execute such an illegal arrest to satisfy his blood thirst ?

He got the consent of both Chinnavar and Anbil Mahesh. Chinnavar and Anbil Mahesh need Arun’s services to continue their drug smuggling activities without hindrance. Further, this is a bonanza for them. By targeting their sworn enemy’s media house, they can curtail his ambitions to challenge them. They gave their consent.

As this article goes to publication, Karthick is being taken for remand before a Magistrate.

This is the state of law and order in Tamil Nadu. This is the government for which people voted just a week back.

From the management, we assure our readers that we are taking all possible legal steps to bring out Karthick Govindarajan out of prison and get him a suitable compensation and also a CBI probe.
